He has worked for leading oil & gas service and drilling contractors.  His achievements and participation in numerous industry firsts, reflect a career of positioning himself at the forefront of the industry’s technological evolution.

After graduating from notable university with degrees in both Geological and Petroleum Engineering, he began his oilfield career working offshore in the GOM.  He has been a key player in many drilling industry firsts, including: performing North America’s first induction resistivity, advanced geosteering technique in a highly deviated well; a while-drilling logging engineer at the 1991 Conoco MWD/LWD Logoff; location manager for the world’s first while-drilling, wellbore resistivity-at-bit images; and, early in the shale play evolution, a lead directional driller in one of the industry’s first, remote monitoring and decision facilities in the Barnett Shale and .  He has authored numerous drilling technology articles and was the original concept creator for Offshore Magazine’s Annual MWD/LWD , offshore Stimulation Vessel, and Rotary Steerable surveys.  He has been an active SPE member for 25+ years, serving 2 years on SPE-Gulf Coast Section’s board of directors.
